If someone justifies himself, because he is moral and always doesgood work, it means that he has a sensitive conscience and faith to God. But as Cornelius in Acts, he also has to be born again, becausethe Bible tells us clearly that , we all have turned away, there isno one who does what is good, not even one. So, we all have sinned andhave come short of the glory of God. And we are saved, not by theworks of the law, but by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
Otherwise Jesus’ sacrifice would have been in vain.
If someone is indifferent and declares himself an atheist, let himknow that he will have no excuse for not knowing God. Because, througheverything God made, someone can see his eternal power and divinenature. Additionally, only a fool who is blinded spiritually by Satan, says in his heart or publicly, ‘’there is no God.’’ But Godloves him and wants to save him, and for this reason the person has tohumble himself and be born again,
If someone postpones and says , not today but tomorrow I will turnback to God…let him know that, ‘’today is the day of salvation’’because nobody knows if he will be alive the next day. Because, thedevil goes around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he candevour. But God cares for him, and wants to save him and give him anabundant life. But, he has to make the right decision. He has torepent, to believe with all his heart, and to confess the risenChrist, as Lord in his life.
If someone has money, success and social recognition and is afraid oflosing everything, let him know that God wants only his heart. That’swhy, the Bible tells us, that we have to love the Lord, our God withall our hearts, with all our soul and with all our strength, and tostore up for ourselves treasures in heaven and not on earth. He hasalso to humble himself in front of God, as everybody has to do, andto know that ‘’before his downfall a person’s heart is proud, buthumility comes before honor.’’ And someone has also to know that,‘’all flesh is like grass, and all its glory like a flower of thegrass, the grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord endures forever.’’ And someone has to know, that, ‘’whoeverwants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his lifebecause of Jesus will find it.’’
If someone is deeply immersed in sin, (if he is adulterous, abuser,drinker, thief etc) he has to know that Jesus came for those whorecognize that they are sinners, like the thief on the cross. And Jesus, not only forgives our sins but He frees us from the oppressionof sin, too.
If someone is restricted, because of the fear of men, and the fear ofrejection and persecution, let him know the following truth. if hewill be persecuted, and ridiculed for the name of Christ, he isblessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on him. Andsomeone has to remember that, only Jesus can quench our soul’s thirstand only He can give us the desires of our hearts.
