The bible tells us that faith comes by hearing and hearing by theword of God. Because in order to believe we have to listen or studythe truth of the gospel, and then something lights up inside us.
Jesus clearly said that, we have to study the scriptures because theword that He has spoken, shall judge us, and He also said that hiswords are truth and the truth will set us free.

The bible tells us : This book of instruction must not depart fromyour mouth, you are to meditate on it day and night so that you maycarefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosperand succeed in whatever you do. This means that the person will havewisdom from God, and success and blessing will come, in every area ofhis life.

Jesus said, ‘‘It is written: Man must not live on bread alone, but byevery word that comes from the mouth of God.’’ And, ‘‘If you abide inme, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will bedone for you.’’ And also, ‘’Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyonekeeps my word, he will never see death.’’ So, we understand thateverything is related with the word.

Apostle Paul said: ‘’The gospel is the power of God for salvation toeveryone who believes.’’ He also said: ‘’All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, fortraining in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, andequipped for every good work.’’

We also need to know: The study of the Bible helps us to have clearthoughts, to recognize the will of God in our lives, to do His will, and then, the God of peace promises to be with us always. We also haveto know that, when we confess with faith, the word of God which is thesword of the Spirit, then we overcome all difficulties. And we alsohave victory against all the attacks of the enemy of our soul. So,when we say that we confess the word of God by faith, it means that aswe pray, we use the appropriate verses for our needs and problems weface. Because the word of God in our mouth (Proverbs 18/21) withfaith, (Mark 11/23) has the same power and creative ability as the Word in the mouth of God. (Isaiah 55/11) Similarly, when Jesus wastempted by Satan in the desert, He confessed the written word whichis the highest authority. So he resisted and after overcoming, hecarried out God’ s work. And we have to do the same. In contrast,Eve, because she had not kept God’s words in her heart, was deceived, and the tragic consequences for all mankind followed.
