God is love and wants everyone to be saved and come towards the knowledge of the truth. And God’s way for our salvation, is that we can be saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. And we are not saved from the works of the law, so that no one can boast. Therefore, God having overlooked the times of ignorance, now commands all people everywhere to repent, and be reconciled with Him.
Examples from the Holy Bible.
Cornelius, was a devout, God-fearing man, who was praying, fasting and was doing charity work. Nevertheless, God in a supernatural way, sent to him and his family Peter, who preached the message of salvation through faith in Jesus, and told them…’’that through the name of Jesus, everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins.’’ Even as Peter was saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to the message.
The Treasurer of Kandake, was a man who studied the scriptures. And the Holy Spirit said to Philip, ‘’Go over and walk along beside the carriage,’’ and then Philip told him the Good News about Jesus, who is the Son of God. And he believed and was baptized in water.
The Apostle Paul, when he was still called Saul and practiced the law, then out of ignorance he persecuted Christians. But on the way to Damascus, Jesus revealed himself through a vision to Saoul, and then he knew the truth. And he believed in Jesus, repented, and began to preach. And from a persecutor of the church he became the Apostle to the Gentiles.
